Alisha is a registered social worker with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers. She received her Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2009 from the University of Regina and has worked primarily with children, youth and their families. Her work experience includes years with the ministry of social services and the education system. She understands how a young person’s mental health can impact their behavior and performance. Alisha enjoys providing support to children and youth to be successful at home, school and within their community. She is dedicated to assisting young people and their families to set goals and establish effective strategies to best support their mental health needs by using a collaborative approach to counseling using evidence based and trauma informed practices.

She is passionate about helping individuals understand how their nervous system responds to stress and adversity, and about building resilience through practical, body-based, and relational strategies. She integrates mindfulness, emotional regulation, and resilience-building strategies to help individuals better understand their stress responses and develop practical coping skills.
